Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking

A three-day National Workshop on “Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking” was jointly organized by the Departments of Dravyaguna Vijnanam and Agada Tantra at Vaidyaratnam P.S. Varier Ayurveda College from October 22 to 24, 2025.

The primary objective of the program was to equip Ayurveda teachers and researchers with both theoretical knowledge and practical exposure to computational tools that are increasingly significant in modern drug discovery. The topics included in the workshop were designed in alignment with the NCISM syllabus. As subjects such as Network Pharmacology and Molecular Docking have now been incorporated to make Ayurvedic research more evidence-based, the workshop provided a practical approach in accordance with these advancements.

A total of 25 teachers and 15 postgraduate students from various parts of the country registered for the program.

The workshop was inaugurated on October 22, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. by the Principal, Dr. Bindu K.K.

The subsequent sessions were led by Dr. Benil P.B., Dr. Madhu K.P., Dr. Vivek P., Dr. Jyothsna G. Krishna, and Dr. Vidya Unnikrishnan. Through lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on training sessions, participants received comprehensive training.

The program concluded on October 24 with a valedictory function. Dr. Deepa M.S., Dean (Ayurveda) of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), attended the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
