Department-wise services
The OPD includes the following departments and their services:
OPD: Monday to Saturday, 8.00 am–1.00 pm (excluding Sunday); treats para-surgical conditions, traumatic/sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders.
OPD: Monday to Saturday, 8.00 am–1.00 pm (excluding Sunday); treats general medicine-related ailments, gastrointestinal diseases, and systemic health conditions.
OPD: Monday to Saturday, 8.00 am–1.00 pm (excluding Sunday); treats conditions managed with detoxification and rejuvenation therapies (Ayurvedic cleansing procedures). Panchakarma Procedural OP (Walk-in Panchakarma) services are also offered for selected diseased states and as a part of preventive health and wellness.

Inpatient (IP) services: All departments provide inpatient admission and treatment for the diseases they manage in their OPD.
Specialty clinics
The Allergy Clinic, under the Department of Dravyaguna Vijnana, specializes in the diagnosis and management of dermatological, respiratory, and food allergies. It integrates classical Ayurvedic assessment with laboratory support for etiological identification and individualized treatment. Facilities include clinical examination units, diagnostic investigations, and therapies such as herbal medication, dietary regulation, and lifestyle modification for sustained immunomodulation.
The Fever OP functioning under the Department of Kayachikitsa at VPSV Ayurveda College, Kottakkal, provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients presenting with various types of fevers. It offers systematic evaluation and management of both acute and chronic febrile conditions based on classical Ayurvedic principles integrated with contemporary clinical assessment.
Operated by the Department of Shalya Tantra, this clinic provides specialized care for hemorrhoids, fissures, fistula-in-ano, and pilonidal sinus. It is equipped for minor parasurgical procedures, including local therapies, wound care, and pre-procedural evaluation, ensuring comprehensive non-invasive management and procedural training.
Conducted by the Department of Rachana Sharira, this clinic focuses on bone degenerative disorders, osteoporosis, and musculoskeletal weakness. Facilities include structural assessment, imaging access, and laboratory evaluation. Management combines Ayurvedic medicine, nutritional therapy, physiotherapy, and preventive care to improve skeletal health.
Run by the Department of Shalya Tantra, this specialty clinic provides para-surgical treatment for fistula-in-ano and related anorectal disorders using the classical Kshara Sutra technique. Equipped with procedure rooms and sterile dressing facilities, it offers minimally invasive care while serving as a clinical training unit for postgraduate scholars.
Managed by the Department of Samhitha & Sidhantha, this clinic treats hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and metabolic endocrine disorders. Diagnostic support includes biochemical testing and clinical assessment. Therapy emphasizes individualized Ayurvedic medicines, detoxification measures, dietary regulation, and lifestyle correction.
Under the Department of Kriya Sharira, this clinic manages digestive and metabolic disorders such as dyspepsia, IBS, GERD, fatty liver, and malabsorption. Facilities include clinical examination units, diagnostic investigations, Panchakarma therapies, diet planning, and herbal medication. It also supports clinical research in digestive physiology and therapeutics.
Conducted by the Department of Rasa Shasthra & Bhaishajya Kalpana, this clinic provides care for acne, pigmentation disorders, hair loss, and skin rejuvenation. Services include classical Ayurvedic formulations, external therapies, and aesthetic procedures. The unit also supports research in herbal cosmeceuticals and pharmaceutics.
A daily Dental OPD is conducted from 8.00 AM to 1.00 PM, providing consultation and minor dental procedures. The facility is supported by qualified dental professionals in collaboration with Educare Institute of Dental Sciences, Malappuram.
NB: Integrated Oncology & Palliative care Centre: Following the successful implementation of the Integrated Oncology OP in January 2025, the institute is seeking to enhance its clinical capabilities by integrating essential palliative care infrastructure.
